New Molly Retirements???!!

I'm so sick of AG retiring items that are part of a doll's core collection. I give up. I'm so furious right now that I don't even want to give AG anymore money and order any of it.

All I have to say is that this stinks BIG time. I can't believe they are retiring all that stuff, esp. when Samantha's stuff didn't get retired AT ALL. I am so glad I just bought the party games and the christmas stocking earlier this year. GRRR!!

Thank goodness my mom bought me all of Molly's Camp Gowonagin stuff years and years ago, but I am tempted to order another set of the camping stuff and her outfit just in case. And I really wanted her bed, but I have no room for it. However, I just placed an order, so I think I'm going to try and wait a month. *sigh*. I just hope they are replacing most of Molly's stuff, rather than retiring it.

They must be coming out with a new bed, nighttime accessories. I bet Molly will be getting a ton of new outfits. I hope they come out with a new trunk. Molly's trunk is really nice and holds a lot of items. Although it does take two trunks to hold everything that Molly has now.

Where did you hear that Kirsten's Saint Lucia tray is in danger of retirement????? That doesn't seem to fit.

That rumor may have started because last year (or maybe the year before last) at the MCM sale they had a sign in front of Kirsten's trays that were for sale, saying that they were retired. Obviously, they were wrong, but I have to say that they have had lots of them for sale the last couple of years.

As for Molly's retirements, after them replacing Felicity's tea set, party treats and chocolate set last year, nothing AG does will completely surprise me. I could almost understand them replacing her bed-it has always been my least favorite of all of the dolls-and it doesn't seem to be made with the quality and sturdiness of the other beds. I am thinking/hoping that maybe they will make nice wooden bunkbeds for Molly and Emily. The only bunkbeds AG ever made were the yellow GOT ones, so they could use another set. It would be more original that just giving her a trundle bed like Kit's, IMO. I think with her core outfits, they will just change the design somewhat, like they did with Samantha's new bathing suit. I doubt that they are being completely eliminated.

I'm really anxious to see what is at the AG warehouse sale in June-based on last year's sale, I think it should give us a pretty good idea of what to expect for Molly's retirements.

The only problem with bunk beds is that there aren't any in her books. The only way that would work is if they rewrote her book, and I definitely don't want them to do that. [img]eek.gif[/img]

Strictly speaking, Kit's bed isn't a trundle. It's a day bed that folds out to become a double bed, a pretty ingenious design.

I'd love to see a trundle bed for Molly and Emily, and think it would be a smart product for AG, an easier sell than getting people to buy--and store--a second bed.

We've also speculated before here what big item might be released for Molly and Emily. I'm still hoping for a tandem bike.

But seriously, I'm starting to think the same thing. I'll wait to see what new things come out for Miss Molly this fall before deciding for certain, but right now I'm not sure I want AG to do any more movies. They seem determined to change the girls completely!

This is an appalling tragedy! I CANNOT believe this is happening! Molly's my favorite Historical! I LOVE her collection and the color scheme! [img]graemlins/cry_smile.gif[/img] Some of that stuff is on my list.... There's no way I can afford to get all the stuff I was wanting from that list. Though I must admit I am so glad to see that Dude Ranch thing going....
BUT WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I'm glad I didn't see this last night, it would have ruined my slumber....well least for a little while!

I have to say, I'm somewhat skeptical on some of those items...they have never retired core outfits before except for Felicity's school dress which later came back.

I'm willing to bet that Molly's bed and nighttime nesseccities are not going away but changing, just as her wooden table and chairs were replaced. They wouldn't have an AG without a bed!

If this list is the truth completely, then I am sadden. I have not started a Molly collection yet, but she is on my wishlist for the future.
